Leo Baptistao opened the scoring for UD Almería's victory over Girona FC in a tenth matchday in which stars such as Asensio (Real Madrid) and Aleñá (Getafe CF), who played a part in his team's two goals against Athletic Club, were also on the scoresheet. Gonzalo Plata's impetus was key to Real Valladolid's three points against Celta Vigo, while Bono secured one for Sevilla FC by saving a stoppage-time penalty.

With his goal against Real Sociedad, Sergio León scored his fifth goal in Real Valladolid's last five matches in LaLiga Santander and gave the Blanquivioletas three very important points in their fight for salvation. Kike Barja (CA Osasuna), Pere Milla (Elche CF) and Aidoo (Celta de Vigo) were key to their respective teams earning a point on matchday 11, while Lucas Vázquez scored off the bench in Real Madrid's win over Sevilla FC.

Three summer signings, Moi Gómez (CA Osasuna), Bongonda (Cádiz CF) and Lazo (RCD Espanyol) made their debuts in their new colors on the twelfth LaLiga Santander matchday, in which Girona FC took a point from the Santiago Bernabéu thanks to Stuani. Álvaro García (Rayo Vallecano) scored for the second consecutive matchday and Valencia CF lost to FC Barcelona despite the good work of Marcos André.

Santi Comesaña scored one of the three goals for Rayo Vallecano, a Rayo Vallecano side that pulled off a surprise by beating Real Madrid on matchday 13. Frenkie de Jong (FC Barcelona) was one of the best players on matchday 13. Like the Dutchman, Guruzeta (Athletic Club) and Josan (Elche CF) also scored, although their teams failed to win. CA Osasuna, Real Mallorca and Real Valladolid did, thanks in part to the performances of Aitor Fernández, Amath and Javi Sánchez, the latter two of whom scored for the first time this season. Finally, Swiss Cömert (Valencia CF) was a wall at Anoeta.
Match Day 14 / Jornada 14
The fourteenth LaLiga Santander matchday was the goalkeepers' matchday. Rajkovic (Real Mallorca), Rui Silva (Real Betis) and Remiro (Real Sociedad) excelled under the posts, while defenders such as Vivian (Athletic Club) and Pol Lirola (Elche CF) joined the attack and scored. Iza (Cádiz CF) was solid at the Santiago Bernabéu against Luka Modric's Real Madrid, while Raphina (FC Barcelona), Taty Castellanos (Girona FC) and André Almeida (Valencia CF) continued to show their infinite quality.

Isi Palazón once again confirmed himself as one of Rayo Vallecano's names of the season with his seventh contribution (four goals and three assists) against Girona FC. On the same day, Luiz Felipe (Real Betis) gave one of the defensive performances of the year and Brian Oliván (RCD Espanyol) once again proved his class in the Barcelona derby against FC Barcelona. Finally, Sorloth (Real Sociedad) extended his scoring streak, Melero scored his second goal for UD Almería and Chukwueze made his debut in LaLiga Santander 2022-23.
Match Day 16 / Jornada 16
Central defenders Giménez (Atlético de Madrid), David García (CA Osasuna) and Araujo (FC Barcelona) shone in the sixteenth matchday, in which Villarreal CF beat Real Madrid thanks to a great Reina. Camello's fourth goal for Rayo Vallecano could not prevent his side's defeat against a Real Betis side led by Brazilian Luiz Henrique, while Acuña and Portu earned praise in the Sevilla FC-Getafe FC match. Finally, Sobrino, with an assist, and Abdón, with a late header, led Cádiz CF and Real Mallorca to wins.
Match Day 17 / Jornada 17
Despite being in the seventeenth matchday, Ocampo (Cádiz CF), Larsen (Celta de Vigo) and Nianzou (Sevilla FC) opened their scoring accounts with the teams they signed for in the summer. Joselu (RCD Espanyol) and Yangel Herrera (Girona FC) scored for the second consecutive matchday, while Take Kubo led Real Sociedad in the derby against Athletic Club. UD Almeria and Villarreal CF both picked up a point, thanks in part to the performances of Robertone and Mandi.
Match Day 18 / Jornada 18
Players such as Barrenetxea and Portillo claimed, with their goals, more minutes for Real Sociedad and UD Almería on matchday eighteen, in which Morata and Hermoso scored for Atlético de Madrid in their win over Real Valladolid. Álvaro Fernández kept a clean sheet against Real Betis and Dani Rodríguez scored the only goal in Real Mallorca-Celta de Vigo. Meanwhile, Domingos Duarte's good work could not prevent Getafe CF's defeat at Camp Nou.

Two winter signings, Larin and Luis Suárez, were decisive for their new teams on the last day of the first round. The Canadian gave Real Valladolid an agonizing victory and the Colombian played a part in UD Almeria's uncontested win over RCD Espanyol, while Suso assisted Sevilla FC's second consecutive win and moved away from the dangerous zone of the standings.
